Author MJ Pankey

MJ Pankey has been obsessed with Greek mythology since she was a teenager. After reading the Iliad, she was hooked and could not get her hands on enough ancient Greek material, from mythology, to history, to archeology, to philosophy. If it was ancient Greek, she was all over it.

She even decided to minor in Classics in college to delve even deeper into her obsession.

In 2023, MJ published her first Greek myth inspired fantasy novel, Epic of Helinthia. Her second novel, Oracle of Helinthia will publish in May of 2025. Her early reader chapter book series, Messenger of Olympus, will debut in late 2025.  

An Air Force veteran, MJ lives in Augusta, Georgia with her husband, Eric; three children, Dante, Athena, and Artemis; furry writing companion, Petey; and beta fish Bluey. She is the host of the Augusta Writer's Critique Group.
